John Sheahan’s Solo Album “Long Hot Summer”

(Orlando, FL)

Funny how it all worked out. In March 2010, a record label approached my label with the idea of making a crossover star that would broaden the demographics of my label. All the executives involved thought it was a great idea, but something told me to keep my nose out of the music business. Over a year and a half later, the same execs reached out to me to see if there was interest in making a brand new collaboration album with a young artist I know so well – my radio mainstay Brandon Heath.

Little did I know that months later that my label would decide to part ways with my artist with the idea of signing John as their newest recruit. I had let my heart tell me to stay out of this but deep down I knew this song-writing powerhouse would ultimately land the gig.

The timing of this unexpected partnership couldn’t have been more perfect as it allowed me to work with a young entertainer with a vision that I can only dream of. And at the same time, as a fan of John’s music, I know he’s going to deliver everything this album is capable of. Needless to say, I’m so excited for the rest of the world to hear it!
